Restore 1.0

With Archive & Restore, you can save, stow away and restore files easily. After archiving, links will remain that let you access archived files in their original places. The program supports archiving to removable disks and catalogs them in a database. Files are stored in their original format and directly accessible. You can search in the archives, including searching for free text that you entered when archiving.

A link left behind after stowing away a file can be copied or moved to another folder. To avoid clutter, links are collected in special files. Saved versions of a file are listed under its properties on an additional page. There you can open and restore a previous version quickly. If necessary, you will be prompted to insert the appropriate disk.

You will be able to move files between archives without losing links to them. This will mean that you can collect files in an archive on your hard disk until it is worthwhile burning a CD.

Archive & Restore will extend the Windows shell you can use with Explorer. Archives and removable disks will be displayed there and files grouped by archiving periods.

This software is a shareware. You will be able to download and test Restore during a certain period of time, then, if it does what you need, you will have to acquire the full version. The trial version available for download on www.softandco.com has a size of 2243 KBytes. For additional information and support request, please contact directly Restore publisher.
